i am constantly looking for inspiration from artists. for this piece, my professor assigned art pieces and i had to create a response to it using the same style as that artist.
the artist that called to me the most was annie evelyn.
annie evelyn is a designer that builds pieces with character and creativity. she curated this amazing chair made out of tons of handmade paper flowers. i decided to incorporate her use of craft and apply it to my project inspired heavily by this piece. i hand-crafted over 100+ flowers, glued them and then planted real flowers in a layered wood box i built.
